Roe Fund of OKRCRC

Volunteer

ROE FUND IS NOT currently accepting new volunteers while we figure out this new hostile reproductive landscape.

Since May 26, 2022 when Oklahomans lost their right to an abortion in Oklahoma, and the overturning of Roe V Wade on June 24, 2022, the landscape of reproductive rights and abortion laws in Oklahoma and the United States has become increasingly hostile and uncertain. The Roe Fund is currently unable to accept volunteers as we navigate these challenging times. This decision reflects the complex and rapidly changing environment surrounding abortion rights. Abortion laws are shifting quickly at both state and federal levels, creating a difficult landscape for organizations like ours that support reproductive rights. As abortions are not being performed in Oklahoma, the need for volunteers to assist at clinics has stopped.

We understand that many individuals are eager to contribute to the cause, but we ask for your patience and continued support as we assess the best ways to move forward under these new conditions. For those who wish to get involved, we strongly encourage you to stay informed about abortion rights and abortion laws in your state and across the country. Keeping up-to-date with local and federal news about reproductive rights is crucial in this evolving situation.

Most importantly, your voice matters. One of the most impactful ways to make a difference is by voting in the upcoming election. This is a critical moment for reproductive rights, and your vote can influence the future of abortion laws and the protection of these essential freedoms. Together, we can work towards a better future despite the challenges posed by the overturning of Roe vs. Wade. Stay engaged, stay informed, and make your voice heard at the ballot box.
